Harvest Bag

Every Wednesday, from 9:30am to 11:30am, Zion Lutheran church provides free food distribution to the needy, whether it's the USDA food from the federal government via SLO Food bank (every 3rd Wednesday), or free food provided by our generous volunteers every Wednesday. The food provided by the generous volunteers of our church are listed under the “Agency Partner Pantries” section of the San Luis Obispo food bank's distribution calendar found here: FOOD DISTRIBUTION

Every 3rd Wednesday of the month, we partner with the San Luis Obispo food bank to provide "USDA food" delivery from the food bank. This USDA food, from the federal government, has specific sign-in requirements that visitors should be aware of. This is completely anonymous! Please feel free to show up on ANY Wednesday if you are in need. We are here to help!

Our Harvest Bag program is growing, but still has capacity to help more! This is an essential outreach of our church. We do this because God commands us to do so. There are NO strings attached. Simply show up, receive food, and be blessed.

"And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’" Matthew 25:40

Please spread the word. We have food for the needy, whether you are believers, or not. Of course, we would love if you attended our worship services and receive the blessings of our savior, Jesus Christ... but we just wish to pay forward the wonderful blessings we have received from our Lord. If you do wish to receive further blessings, our worship services are every Sunday at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
