Worship Times

Sunday Worship is at 8:00am and 10:30am, year around. Both services are traditional. Services are also held on Wednesday evening during Lent and Advent. Holy Communion is celebrated on the first and third (and fifth) Sunday of each month at both services.

Between services at 9:15 there is an adult Bible class across the parking lot in Room 1. Children's Sunday School is in the Fellowship Hall next to the church, also at 9:15.

Child care for infants through toddlers aged 5 and under is available every Sunday from 8am to noon in the Fellowship Hall in the room just behind the stage.

What to Expect

  • What's a service like?

    • We use the Lutheran Service Book, and our services are liturgical. It's easy to follow along as the full service is printed in the weekly bulletin, distributed as you enter the Sanctuary.

  • What's the music like?

    • Music is an integral part of every worship service here at Zion. Hymns are a centerpiece in all worship services. Organ, piano, choir, handbells or other instruments provide music. Often the Liturgy is sung as well. Every service begins and concludes with an organ or piano prelude and postlude.

  • What about my kids?

    • Children are welcome. In fact, there is a Children's Lesson given each week by the Pastor where children come forward to hear God's Word. There is also a "quiet room" just off the narthex for those unexpected disturbances, diaper changes, etc. We want everyone to be able to worship. Families with small children and babies will enjoy the convenience of our child care center, available every week during both services at the Fellowwhip Hall.

  • Where do I park?

    • Ample parking is available next to the building.

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to Me and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14 NIV

Lutherans have a tradition steeped in education.

Zion Lutheran offers Sunday school classes for children ages 3 through high school. Nursery care is also provided for children under age 3.

Sunday school classes are held between church services from 9:15-10:15 each Sunday throughout the school year. We are blessed with wonderful teachers who enjoy planning interactive and educational classes for their students. Each Sunday, the younger children (3 years old through 6th grade) start with a group opening/activity and then disperse to their classrooms for their weekly Bible lesson. The older children meet in their classroom the full hour.

We want children to have a real relationship with Jesus. We teach that Jesus is their Savior, their Light, and their Rock. God's word can be trusted and is without error. How we apply God's Word in the world today is so vital.

"Train a child in the way he should go, when he is old he will not turn from it." Proverbs 22:6 NIV

We would like anyone interested to join our Sunday school program.
